Software
I collaborated with clients and project managers to create effective designs and solutions that met the needs of users. I was involved in stakeholder meetings to showcase the designs and to ensure their satisfaction. I also worked closely with the internal design team and in-house developers to make sure that we were all aligned on the project's goals.
As the sole UX designer in the company, I was given ample opportunities to lead projects and grow my expertise in the field. I took ownership of the UX research process and tailored it to fit each project's specific requirements, allowing me to continuously develop my skills and knowledge. This versatility has enabled me to effectively find and implement optimal solutions for a range of projects.
My “UX process”
I have the experience of working in both large corporations and small agencies. While working in a small agency, I had the opportunity to create a UX process from scratch and establish a structured approach to UX design. This allowed me to lead projects with ease, maintain consistency and work more efficiently. I documented each stage of the process to ensure easy accessibility and understanding, while also being able to define an agile approach and provide clear timelines for each UX phase of the project.
Competitor analysis
I conducted a competitor analysis for a low-budget website during my UX process testing, which enabled me to evaluate the product's strengths and weaknesses and its design compared to its competitors. I carried out a comprehensive UX audit based on the structure, best practices, UX elements, and features used on their website. Through my findings, I identified UX patterns among competitors and was able to create a sitemap and information architecture by comparing the layout structure.
Client reviews
I use UX best practices to create designs based on the results from the initial project phases. I effectively present my designs to clients and stakeholders, demonstrating my understanding of the UX thinking behind the design elements.
Based on the results from my UX research, I created 30%, 60%, and 90% wireframes in phases. This allowed me to gather copy, content, and assets at each stage, and build the structure and features of the design as the process progressed. The wireframes gave me a solid foundation to hand over to the UI team with confidence, ensuring a seamless transition in the design process.
Collaborating with the team
Throughout my projects, I emphasize the importance of effective team collaboration. By working together to create user journeys, identify potential challenges, and brainstorm solutions, we were able to produce dynamic and innovative designs that effectively addressed user needs. Additionally, I made sure to provide clear documentation and tags to developers to ensure they understand the intended function and emphasis of each UX element.
